In this installment, Isaac Clarke is still in space and fights off aliens in a first-person shooter. Meat, blood, nakedness, fear and horror became noticeably more in Dead space 2, and the severed parts of the body are already the general flora of the base. "Planetary Ripper" - a space base from the first part, was a completed mission for Isaac. He destroyed an artifact that turns everyone around into necromorphs..
But the main character wakes up three years later in an incomprehensible place and sees that nothing around has changed, because the artifact was transferred to Titan, the moon of Saturn. The protagonist does not remember anything that happened to him over the past three years. A progressive mental disorder makes him constantly nervous, change his mood, see his dead girlfriend Nicole. Though his fighting skills have sharpened.
The third-person shooter DP2 is the tragic story of an engineer who saved a nation, but who was not awarded what he deserved. At the beginning of the story, he wakes up in a mental hospital after being found drifting dissolutely on the Ishimura space station. As soon as doctors diagnosed a serious brain disease, he was removed from the case, although he was not hung up with a "signature ban on going into outer space." Isaac wandered around the hospital in search of his girlfriend, but he is stopped by a crazy hero who has gone through half of the tests with him. He claims that together they can destroy the obelisk that is now healing on Titan..
In the new part, the gameplay was practically not changed, but the attitude of the protagonist to the objects on the map was noticeably changed. Now he can break glass, move objects, move boxes for his needs. Necromorphs can now be thrown into open space if the room is depressurized in time (for this, the red button is always visible).
The character can now fly because the suit has received modifications. Also, the hero himself now constantly enters into dialogues and actively curses at what is happening. However, after chapter 6 (there are 15 in total) there is simply no one to talk to.
