This game is not scary. In fact, the entire campaign is a boring slog up until the Awakened DLC where it seemed like the devs remembered that DS was originally a horror game. The frozen and mummified necromorph designs are the most boring, tame, and forgettable out of all necromorph designs in the series. They are so boring that many of them are covered in layers of clothing and most do not look particularly mangled up or mutated near the same extent as necros in DS1 and 2. However, the weapon crafting and upgrades are where this game shines. It's not good as a horror game but it is pretty good as an action game.
