Dead Space 3
1n Dead Space 3, Isaac Clarke and John Carver travel through space to find the source of the Necromorph outbreak. After crashing on the frozen planet of Tau Volantis, Isaac must scavenge the harsh environment for raw materials and parts. Isaac and Carver team up with Ellie, Jennifer Santos, and Austin Buckell to stop the Necromorph threat.
Dead Space 3 peaked high in sales charts, but sold fewer copies than expected. The game disappointed fans who were expecting a frightening, sci-fi horror experience. The combat-heavy gameplay and expanded environments felt more like Lost Planet 4 than Dead Space 3. Plans for a sequel were abandoned, the development team was disbanded, and Visceral Games closed in 2017.
A remake of the first Dead Space game was announced in 2021 and is scheduled for release in 2023.
