Part 2. This is easily one of the greatest survival horror games ever. I know that without Resident Evil 4 this probably wouldn't exist, but it outshines it in every freaking way. Isaac may move a bit slow and clunky, but you can move and shoot. The atmosphere is astounding as is the sound design. Everything about this game keeps you on the edge of your seat. The tension is through the roof at all times. Necromorphs can appear from just about anywhere and the game likes to remind you of this. No place is safe. One of the coolest parts is that they change the standard headshot to win on its actual head. You need to remove the limbs to win and if you do shoot off the head you are in for a bad time. Speaking of shooting, there are a ton of fun weapons to use and upgrade. I love upgrading, including your stasis and suit health. Did I mention the stasis? You can use some sort of telekinesis to slow enemies and objects to a crawl. It so helpful. Even on hard I felt that I was swimming in ammo and health outside of the beginning of the game in which it was a bit tight. There is some variety to the ship environments, but it still feels like a space ship, which is fine by me. I love isolation horror and this game is wonderful at making you feel alone and helpless. The story is also a head trip and has you really wondering what is happening. There is a ton of enemy variety and the bosses are huge. I really do love this game. Enjoy my playthrough.
