Part 2. This is one of the greatest games I have ever played. It hits all the right notes. It absolutely is Ghostbusters 3 and it is amazing that they got everyone back. No one missed a beat here. The writing is just wonderful and everyone puts on their A-game. The only downside is that the player character is largely just a tool to be used. The real stars are Harold, Dan, Bill and, my favorite, Ernie. There are so many call backs to the first 2 movies, it truly is spectacular the way they tie everything in. I haven't even mentioned the game itself yet. You can tell that Terminal Reality wanted to do the franchise justice. I'm actually not sure there was what could be considered a good Ghostbusters game before this. Needless to say Terminal Reality delivered. The game is freaking amazing. The game has no HUD a-la Dead Space which is absolutely great. There is no clutter on screen. You have a PKE Meter that allows you to scan the environment for collectibles and enemies. Your Proton Pack has a ton of different forms not just the standard beam. On top of having 4 different weapons you also get to upgrade all of your equipment with money you acquire along the way. Mainly from defeating ghosts and grabbing collectibles. It's freaking great getting an upgraded trap allowing you to slam ghosts into instant captures in the trap. The levels themselves offer a ton of variety and the ghosts all have their own strategies and gimmicks. Which brings a ton of variety to combat. The bosses are all gimmicks to an extent but offer some good challenge. Speaking of which, I played on Professional and it was a breeze, albeit with one caveat. There was one section that seemingly was not well tested. You have slam some stone cherubs into a gate and holy crap was it awful. It is the only thing that mired my whole experience. It felt wildly unfair and not play-tested at all. There is a strong possibility I just suck and it's not that bad, but it sure felt like they just threw a ton of enemies at you and is completely BS. The music is also very reminiscent of the movies and I'm sure some is directly lifted from them. It all fits amazingly well. The graphics are also on point for such an old game and all of the characters look just like their real life counterparts. I could gush over this game all day long. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
