All of the mechanics work, but they're not great: your canine companion doesn't look like he belongs in the game (and his feet are often not touching the ground), levels tend to go on and on, etc. Still, these aren't fatal flaws for Retribution. It's not a bad game or a broken one; it's just a game that's rough in about every area.
