[Deadlink] Neuromancy Juggernaut Speedrun (in 22:57.5 IGT)
73Deadlink is a really fun first person roguelite that just released its full version 1.0, I enjoyed the fast paced gameplay loosely reminiscent of Doom Eternal or other arena shooters. The characters are all pretty distinct, Juggernaut is more Doomfist from Overwatch than anything else, with constant punches across the arena. The game is pretty tough to just clear normally on any difficulty, but there are some quite potent builds out there (like this one) that help make even Neuromancy difficulty fairly approachable. This build was actually pretty insane, and the speed was largely due to the potency of my implants rather than any of my gameplay in particular. The main idea was to stack skill power, especially through the use of 1984 Literalizer that scales off how many grenades you have, and then just alternate between charge punching and AoE from stray redirector.
This was on Version 1.0, which has since been updated -- Juggernaut's Stray Redirector no longer breaks the Cball orbs on the backs of enemies in Interport, and some enemies in the final zone were nerfed to be easier, but otherwise this run should be more or less unchanged. I wasn't fast enough where this is an actually competitive speedrun time, but it is fast enough where I feel comfortable calling it a speedrun, since the speedrun achievement target for Neuromancy difficulty is 40 minutes.
I already had the achievement, but this would be for:
"Games Done Quick" - Complete a full run in under 40 minutes on Neuromancy difficulty.
and
"Hercules" - Complete a full run using the Juggernaut Combat Shell.
