337Assassination time! Today I show you the first build of a series for the new Assassin Mech in Mechwarrior Online. The Assassin is a 40 ton medium Mech and plays like a mix between the Cicada and the Phoenix Hawk. It is very nimble and can take a good amount of jump jets. Its high mobility make this Mech an extremely good skirmisher. You can position yourself around the map with ease and get your damage where it is needed.
Todays Loadout features 2 Large Lasers and a Medium Laser for a mini laser vomit build. The weapons are very efficient at medium range which make the build very forgiving especially for beginner Mech pilots. If you are a new player you should definitely try this out because you can disengage any encounter, switch the flank and get in from another angle again.
A lot of people asked me if I would recommend the Assassin. After playing a few games with different variants I would say: YES! I did not take a deeper look into the Hero variant, so I can't talk about that yet. But the basic pack and the reinforcements are absolutely worth their money if you like running around the map, using cover and play hit and run style games.
