Marvel okayed a Free Guy reaction trailer starring Deadpool and Korg, Korg who is from Thor: Ragnarok. What’s funny about that is Korg is now marked as the first canon MCU character to meet Deadpool; which since Disney bought fox and sucked up properties like Fantastic 4 and X-Men, that means Deadpool is now returning back to Marvel and being introduced in Doctor Strange 2 which will lead into Deadpool 3; which is something we’ll get to in a second.

So, the reason Korg is in this trailer reaction with Deadpool is because the movie, Free Guy, that they are watching the trailer for, stars both Ryan Reynolds who plays Deadpool and Taika Watiti, who also stars as Korg in the MCU.
So, let’s talk about this trailer marking the first of many teasers I’m sure to tease the introduction of Marvel’s mercenary with a mouth, Deadpool. So, with Doctor Strange 2 In the Multiverse Of Madness, we know the movie will explore Doctor Strange’s adventure into the multiverse to repair it. Along the way, I’m sure this will open doors for Deadpool’s first appearance, like maybe Deadpool falls through a portal or Doctor Strange smashes the universes together, who knows, all we know is that Deadpool, Fantastic Four and X-Men all need to be reintroduced in their own ways.
Except Deadpool has a unique situation that’s very different from those other properties. See, Fox discontinued the fantastic 4 franchise a long time ago and the X-Men has hit repeatedly several dead ends. It’s because of that failure that Marvel can reboot those properties. However, both Deadpool movies have done remarkably well for themselves at the box office; both movies making hundreds of millions and on top of that the audience and critics alike really enjoying the film. Which means the MCU needs to integrate this version of Deadpool successfully into the MCU, and Kevin Fiege, president of Marvel Studios, has already begun developing Deadpool 3; and more surprisingly keeping the R-rating because the kind of Deadpool that people go to see in theatres is the R-Rated version. Which doesn’t mean he will be R-Rated in Doctor Strange 2 or other Marvel projects, that just means he’ll be R-Rated in his solo films, but be PG-13ed, or appropriate, in other character’s films in the MCU.
Which means that the Deadpool movies from here on out cannot include groundbreaking post credit scenes or changes that will alter the MCU moving forward like all the other MCU movies are intended to do. You see, the Deapool movies cannot include scenes that will change the course of other MCU films moving forward because kids who follow the MCU and are just as big of fans as their parents can’t watch it because of the R-Rating. So, that is something to expect out of the Deadpool movies; meaning the movies might feel more self-contained.
