Nick Hutchinson began his music journey at the age of 11 when he started learning the guitar. After several years and numerous un-successful ventures with local hard rock/metal bands, he decided to focus his creative efforts on electronic music at the age of 17. After honing his skills as a producer for over a year, studying under personal instruction from Varien and SeamlessR, he formed the alias Deadzone. Deadzone released his first single independently in 2014, titled "Release The Kraken," which became an underground success in the bass music community, being featured by many promoters including Dubstep Nation. In 2015, Deadzone signed with Wasteland Recordings, through which he released a total of 3 singles from 2015 to 2016. An additional track was released in 2016 and featured on Sekai Collective's compilation album "Sonder: 001". In January of 2017, Deadzone released his first full-length album, titled "Multiverse," which featured remixes from artists such as Rift and XTALS, among others. The album was yet another underground success, reaching over 100,000 streams in total and earning a home page feature on the blog EDMJoy.com.
