0Welcome to Death End re;Quest 2, the sequel to the 2018 Compile Heart/Idea Factory JRPG. The game is a split between classic JRPG (turn based, encounter focused combat) & Visual Novel. The story will take you through the tale of Mai on the search for her lost sister, the orphanage/town she gets sent to, and the monsters that appear at night.
It is important to note that all trophies can be obtained on easy difficulty. Playing on easy will cut out some of the cheap deaths, and make leveling/progressing significantly faster at the trade-off of most of the skill/”fun” involved in the gameplay.
During the first stage of the game you will want to focus on obtaining all “Death Ends” (in game choices that will result in a game-over screen), 15 skills with all characters, and fully understanding the combat system. Technically speaking, no choice matters in this playthrough, all missable trophies can be obtained in NG+. The only thing that matters for the “True” Ending is how the final battles plays out (See The Past and the Pretender for more info on the final battle). However, by focusing on the remaining missable trophies it will allow you to breeze through NG+ and grab any you missed without needing an entire 3rd playthrough.
