A review of Introversion's DEFCON: http://www.split-screen.net/DEFCON

#DEFCON (stylised as DEFCOИ and sometimes subtitled #EverybodyDies in the North American version and #GlobalThermonuclearWar in the European version) is a real-time strategy game created by independent British game developer Introversion Software in September 2006.

The gameplay is a simulation of a global nuclear war, with the game's screen reminiscent of the "big boards" that visually represented thermonuclear war in films such as Dr. Strangelove, Fail-Safe, and especially WarGames.

Split Screen is a website about videogames, movies, friendship and life, by Alan Williamson (the Irish one) and Craig Wilson (the Scottish one).

Founded in 2010, our aim was to create a ‘different’ games blog… just like everybody else. We launched the videogame culture magazine Five out of Ten in 2012, but Split Screen is the place that started it all. It’s our home.
