This is a problem I've been having for a while, and as more and more devices in my house have USB-C, it's becoming more and more of a problem to not have my USB-C/TB3 port working. Not sure what's causing this, but all signs point to "the Windows drivers suck" because everything works perfectly fine if we reboot into Ubuntu and try it again.
