This is the first of my 2-Part Valentine's Day Deltarune dub.
I've been working on this project since January and I hope you all enjoy it~

I want to give a special thanks to Apple Lady for reprising her role as Susie in the video. I know I voiced female characters but, I can't voice all of them. Plus, she has a great voice for Susie!

Be sure to check out her channel here:

I also want to thank Hawlo for giving me permission to use their gameplay footage. Their gameplay footage has better resolution than the footage I used in my previous dubs so their contribution was a big help!

And now for creative notes!
I voiced the Butlers, Berdly, Ralsei, Queen, and Rouxl Kaard.
For the Butlers, I had to recreate my filters for them from scratch because Audacity deleted all my old custom presets during an update. Because of this, their filters might sound slightly different from Swatch's but, I tried to get it as close as possible to the old one.

Berdly is...Berdly. I voiced him the same way that I did in the previous videos but, tried to keep the tempo up since people keep saying he talks to slow (which brings me to another point).

Hawlo's gameplay footage is paced really well so I did my best to keep the pace of recorded lines with the dialogue as it appears in-game. Interestingly, I noticed that Toby actually included pauses and speed ups in text generation based on how (at least what I can assume) is the pace and manner that he imagines the characters would speak.
For example, when "..." appear in dialogue, the text holds before continuing and sometimes if the character is intended to sound like their stuttering, the text will also stop for small intervals before resuming. Just a neat little detail I noticed while recording.

For the random NPC in the hallway before the tunnel, I wanted to keep the computer theme so I used text-to-speech to voice them.

I was originally going to include footsteps for all the characters at all times but, it kept overlapping with the metronome in the background music so I limited it to only certain scenes. Also, a lot of the rooms are carpeted so, oftentimes, there just wasn't a need for it (Berdly has footsteps all the time just to be annoying).

After like three videos, I think I finally nailed Queen's voice both pitch and pacing-wise. To add some immersion, I added filters over her to make the sound like her voice was being broadcasted.

Like Queen, I refined my voice for Ralsei to a point that I'm actually happy with how he sounds. I tried to make him sound as soft-spoken and wholesome as possible (this is especially noticeable at the end). At the end of the video, his voice actually sounds like my voice for K_K but, that's because K_K's voice is actually a different take on my voice for Ralsei. I tried to make Ralsei's last lines sound like a character out of a kids educational show because that was the vibe I got from those lines.

I was originally going to have someone else voice Rouxl Kaard because I didn't like how my take on his voice sounded but, my voice for him grew on me. I know there's cut text sounds for him and I tried to emulate the inflection from the samples.
Prior to discovering he had an in-game "voice", I originally envisioned him sounding like Vic Mignogna or Richard Horvitz because he reminds me of characters they voiced. Not any in particular, just voices done by them. You can still hear bits of my attempt to sound like them in some of the lines.

There are a lot of parts where the audio reverbs and those were all intended to simulate the acoustics in the tunnel (and the moisture within it). There's also some echoing at the beginning and end of the video to simulate the size of the rooms.

For the house island battle, to keep in-theme with the SimCity references, I actually used sound effects from SimCity 2000 for zones, building roads, and even the click and park placement sounds.

The duck explosion sound is actually the anti-armor mine from Red Alert 1 but, I used my cleaner version of Toby's explosion at the of the battle so it wasn't completely absent from the video.
Also, magic energy sounds for the "REALE power" is actually a combination of different Kingdom Hearts command sounds strung together (the same goes for the start of Ralsei casting a heal spell).

Anywho, I hope you enjoyed the video as much as I did making it!
