3,640Sure, you can beat the Deltarune Chapter 3 final boss with base weapons, but doing it with no armor AND chapter 1 stats proved to be frustrating. Not only does Susie do HALF the damage she's typically able to with rude buster, but everyone dies in one or two hits! Forget having no shadow mantle, I have NOTHING! Thankfully, I've stocked up on revivemints from the previous chapters! (The clubsandwich buff also helped a ton!) This challenge run was really rewarding to accomplish.
[WHY THIS WAS SO HARD FOR ME]
While possibly not as hard as a no-hit run, the difficulty comes from the sheer length the fight takes. The first few attacks of the fight are easy to learn, but getting used to the later attacks were a little daunting. This isn't as long as other fights, so after figuring out how to dodge somewhat consistently, it was as easy as butterscotch pie. Damage numbers were low, and risk of death was high. Getting hit with most attacks spelled SWOON. However, the tried-and-true TensionMax to Rude Buster combo always works in the end.
