Democracy In SSPPAACCEE! | Astro Architect (Space Station Builder - Demo)
Astro Architect is a game where we play as an architect who has the job of building a space station, but what we can build is determined by the votes of our workforce. That's right, it's a Space Democracy!
We work for the mysterious 'Corporation' who send us into the middle of nowhere to gather all sorts of resources. Initially our Space Station is just a command centre but soon we're able to add corridors and our first living quarters. People soon move in and we're able to put them to work!
But... where do they work? This is where the votes come in! Every galactic cycle our workforce vote on various things that they feel should be on the station. These could range from farms and gyms to solar panels and industrial drills, and they're all represented by cards.
We then buy in the cards we'd like to build on the station from the pool of ones voted in and then we need to get things built! This of course takes resources, some of which we can scavenge from space and others we can buy in.
Traders visit us and also we can go on expeditions to pick up shiny new things, but all the time we need to keep the Corporation happy... or do we?
NOTE: This is a demo version of the game.

Astro Architect is a city-builder game, where you take on the role of the architect that works for the mega space corporation who takes care of one of the space stations. Your responsibilities include expanding the space station, taking care of the needs of employees, managing resources and logistics, and sending expeditions to further explore space.
Unlike most city builder games, in Astro Architect building is done by playing cards that depend on the vote of your workers.
Each cycle, your people vote based on their needs, their aptitude and the current state of the station, which makes each playthrough unique.
Additionally, at the very beginning, you can decide for which corporation you work for, which defines the direction of the tasks assigned by the corporation's CEO, as well as a development tree that, in this difficult world of business, will make it at least a little easier for you to move towards your goal.
Build your station using cards
Place the corridors to define communication routes for your employees.
Decide where each room will be located, what functions it will serve, separate living quarters from workstations so that noise won't hurt your employees and their lives, despite the constant work, will be at least a little easier.
However, you don't have to worry about the speed of deliveries, as this is taken care of by logistics drones that are qualified just for this, which, unlike humans, can work continuously and without any complaints.
Expand your influence
Is your current region not enough to build another workstation to drudge your employees? No problem. With the credits you earn, scan and buy more regions to expand your space station. While doing this, pay attention to resource deposits to make the most efficient use of them.
Or maybe your workstation is not doing a good enough job of producing resources? Just upgrade it and assign more workers. And just like that, efficiency +30%!
Workers, technicians, engineers and scientists are one of the main pillars of your space station, each of these groups has its own needs and whims, moreover, they can only occupy spaces in the workstations specific to them.
Expeditions
If the area of your region of cosmos is not enough, you can send your people on expeditions.
You will often be faced with the choice of where to send your ship for further space exploration. How about answering the call of a station that asks for help? Or will you be tempted by a mysterious signal from a nearby planet? Or will you opt for a quick boost of credits, using your ship for escort? This is entirely up to you. Remember, however, that you must deal with the consequences.
Choose your ship, crew members and resources and send them into the unknown.
