The Vault of Archavon was a raid instance located in Wintergrasp, a PvP zone in the World of Warcraft game. The instance was added in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion and was available in the game from November 2008 until the release of the Cataclysm expansion in December 2010.
The Vault of Archavon consisted of four bosses: Archavon the Stone Watcher, Emalon the Storm Watcher, Koralon the Flame Watcher, and Toravon the Ice Watcher. The bosses dropped high-level loot, including Tier 8 and Tier 9 armor sets, as well as various other items.
The instance was unique in that it could be accessed by both Horde and Alliance players, and it was located in a PvP zone, which meant that players could be attacked by members of the opposing faction while attempting to enter or exit the instance.
The Vault of Archavon was popular among raiders during its time in the game, and it provided a good source of high-level gear for players who were not yet ready to tackle the more challenging raid instances. However, since the instance was removed from the game in 2010, it is no longer accessible to players.
