For the Sega Model 3/ Dreamcast video I made not that long ago (https://youtu.be/jdfIdHlAh_I) I used a combination of footage of Daytona USA 2001 recorded both using my actual Dreamcast and also using the emulator DEMUL. I thought it'd be interesting to compare them side-by-side. The DC video capture was obtained with a particularly cheap and nasty composite video device, which results in some not especially good quality video. People love to keep telling me the quality would be better with a VGA box, but I neither have one or the ability to video capture from one...

I hadn't realised before that some of the shadow effects from the actual DC are missing in DEMUL (I'm using an old version, something like 0.582 or something, because I get better FRAPS video capture from it, so it's possible this has improved in recent versions). I also hadn't realised as well that my previous FRAPS DEMUL footage of Daytona USA 2001 was coming out in a bit of a weird slightly squashed aspect ratio rather than the correct 4:3 one. I've no idea why. I've corrected it here into the right one during video editing. I do far better using DEMUL rather than using my actual DC though owing to the fact I can play it properly using my racing wheel on PC, whereas on the DC I have to use the pad which is rather sensitive to say the least...

It's worth pointing out here as well, that the version of the game I'm playing on the actual DC is a 'special' version I downloaded off the interwebs and burnt onto a CD-R to use on the DC. The reason it's special is because it's had the audio altered to more accurately match the original arcade game's audio with a lot of the original arcade game samples added back in.
