Denki Blocks! | 2001 | Exercise Your Brain!
0Denki Blocks! is a puzzle video game developed by Denki and originally released in 2001 by Rage Games for Sky Gamestar and the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. In the game, players manoeuvre different coloured blocks around a grid to join those of the same colour together. The game received positive reviews, with critics praising the gaily coloured graphics, but a major criticism of the iOS version was the lack of an online leaderboard.
GAME RECORDING INFO:
The game was emulated at Retroarch, using GAMBATTE core, with accurate color correction. It was integer scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio (display aspect ratio, not internal resolution). And captured using shader / filter that simulates the image of the original screen. I also created a Gameboy Color image to use as a bezel above the game, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
