Depth of field and Aperture
PLEASE READ FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION
In this video, I explain to you the basics of depth of field, aperture, and focal length. If you use focal length and your camera's aperture to your advantage, you can control the amount of depth of field quite easily. All of the audio in the video was recorded with the SX40's built-in microphone. Here are my basic equations for what I mentioned in this video:
-large aperture (low f/ #)=low depth of field
-Longer focal length (high mm #)=low depth of field
-low depth of field=less stuff in focus and more BOKEH!!
-depth of field is the amount of stuff in focus in an image
-BOKEH! is a term that describes to blurry parts of an image.
(Let me know if I should add background music to my videos.)
