Name of Mission: The Catacombs
Description of Mission: This mission began with
several simple rooms I created and was quite happy
with. These are the 3D ball-shaped intersection at
the bottom of the blue tunnel, the 2 rooms that are
wide enough to see through but not wide enough to
fly through (the caged Vulcans were a cool idea I
added later), the two "Arenas" with the floating boxes
in the middle, and the large series of identical rooms I
call "The Catacombs". Hope you enjoy.
--- My opinion ---
This level is made EXTREMELY HARD by the fact, that the author didn't put any energy centers into this level!
Despite the fact only the weaker mechs are there you cannot engage and kill all of them, you need to find all energy blobs you can find. you cannot go straight ahead and farm all the matcens as usual. I needed to find all the tricks to minimize energy usage and skip as many areas as I can and avoid encounters.
One of the homing missile mechs are set to station and can roam around the level so you must destroy it before it causes big trouble and go too far away.
The catacomb area is a labyrinth with no reference points, easy to get lost in it. I needed to use the automap even if I know where to go.
