Developed by Parallax Software (now Volition) and published by Interplay in 1994, it was heavily marketed as the "360º shooter". Descent is a first person shooter where the robots from mining colonies all around the Solar System have gone rogue. You'll pilot a small vessel through the tunnels and caves to shut them down for good.
Descent is the best game I suck at, I like it but I get destroyed on higher skill levels. Despite using 3D models for every character, Descent uses a portal based engine where the levels are built from cubes al mashed alltogether, you can deform them as long as they remain convex. Descent also featured a killer midi soundtrack.

Desarrollado por Parallax Software (ahora Volition) y publicado por Interplay en 1994, Descent fue publicitado agresivamente como el "shooter 360º". Descent es un shooter en primera persona donde los robots de las colonias mineras de nuestro Sistema Solar se han rebeleado. Pilotas una pequeña nave a través de los túneles y cuevas para desactivarlos de bien.
Descent es el mejor juego en el que doy asco, me gusta, pero me destruyen en los niveles de dificultad superiores. A pesar de usar modelos 3D para todos los personajes, Descent usa un motor basado en portales en el que los niveles se conforman de cubos apiñados los unos con los otros, se pueden deformar mientras sigan siendo convexos. Descent también tenía una banda sonora midi excelente.
