A now retired Descent pilot named Lothar requested of me to build a level based off his favorite Doom deathmatch map: Dead Simple. Given that I was interested in trying to build new structures and improve on my overall technique, I agree. I took a look at the Doom map and saw that it could easily be translated into Descent. So after a few days of work, I pushed this level out. I also converted it to Descent 2 a few months later after having mastered adding custom textures to my levels. This was also the second Descent 3 level I made when I converted it to that game.
