Please note: The video incorrectly suggests that the verb covered in the video are "two-way" and take either an accusative or dative object. This is incorrect. When these verbs are used in conjunction with a two-way preposition to describe location, the object of the preposition (not the verb) will be in the dative case.

Video of class lecture slides introducing German two-way prepositions with the special verbs "stehen" (to stand), "liegen" (to lie), "hängen" (to be hanging), "sitzen" (to be sitting) and "stecken" (to be inserted). The video begins with a list showing the location and placement forms of these special verbs, before moving to a list giving the definitions of the verbs used to describe location. The video then provides a short review of how two-way prepositions used to describe location and placement, and then illustrates how German two-way prepositions must take a dative object if any of the special verbs are use to describe location. The video then concludes with a sample German sentence to illustrate the point.

The video covers:

00:44 List of special verbs (location and placement forms)
02:08 Definitions of special verbs describing location
03:14 Review of two-way prepositions
05:02 Using special verbs with two-way prepositions
06:03 Sample German sentence
