Video of class lecture slides introducing the German demonstrative pronouns in the nominative and accusative cases. The video begins first with a brief examination of demonstrative pronouns in English before moving into a review of definite articles in German. After examining the nominative and accusative declension patterns for demonstrative articles in German, the video concludes with some examples of how demonstrative pronouns are used in a sentence.
Please note: In addition to the definite articles ("der, die, das") whon in this video, demonstrative pronouns also include "dieser" (this), "jener" (that), "derjenige" (the one), and "derselbe" (the same). These are not covered in this video, although the same declension pattern applies.
