Even Heroes Die is an action platforming roguelite with elements from the Metroidvania and Zelda genres. The hero has been afflicted with a deadly curse, and you must scour the ever-changing kingdom for a cure before his time runs out.
Not all boss fights are created equal, and there are many elements to consider when designing one. In this devlog, I explain my creative process in designing Even Heroes Die's first boss fight, as well as give some insight and tips into how you might design a boss of your own.
