Kool Desktop Environment started in 1996, the latest version of KDE Plasma 5 desktop has brought a huge number of advancements providing a modern easily configurable desktop environment. KDE uses the Qt5 framework, and there are a large number of Qt applications to go along with the desktop.

KDE is available for all Linux distributions, and is available as the default desktop in Kubuntu, KDE Neon, OpenSUSE, KaOS, Antergos, and many more.
