Destiny 2: Lightfall sends players to Neptune to explore the hidden city of Neomuna, where a splinter of humanity has survived the Collapse. The Witness, a major antagonist, arrives with its forces, including the Shadow Legion and Tormentors, seeking a mysterious being called the Veil, which is needed for its "final shape". Guardians, alongside Osiris and the Cloud Striders, must defend Neomuna and prevent the Witness from obtaining the Veil. The expansion also introduces a new Darkness subclass called Strand and a new enemy, the Shadow Legion. Lightfall is the 7th expansion and launched February 28th, 2023.
