Update #3 - User derrenk reported the following:
"Quick update, XBOX are NOT ISSUING REFUNDS. They are now claiming that BUNGIE are blocking them from doing so. They are collecting and forwarding on ALL refund requests to a separate support section, they will keep me posted as to if/when i will get a refund, i am in the UK so not sure for you guys/gals in the states sorry :("

Update #1:
Due to high demand this morning Microsoft (Xbox) has put a hold on Destiny 2 refunds and are currently evaluating the issue. I currently have a ticket in for a refund, and the support team has been fantastic. Xbox Players should request a refund via this link if they are interested, and make sure you ask to have your ticket kept open - https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us#3
