Many people argued with me and some believed me.
Cayde is returning in "The Final Shape" and I am happy to say that I was correct.
This is why we never got a replacement for him as the Hunter Vanguard.

I said in many live streams that cayde would return in Destiny 2 and even thought they would start out Destiny 3 with his face as the thumbnail to kick off the new chapter.
I am so glad they are bringing Cayde back in "The Final Shape" and can't wait to see our old Hunter Vanguard Captain again.
