As many of us guess/assumed, the Golgoroth challenge requires everyone to grab gaze, but beyond that nothing is required. Since so many groups seem confused and a lot of videos are needlessly long, this is all you need to do.

Simple guide:

Pick a gaze holder, someone to run out and then give everyone a number.
Select a location (most groups like the left orb we use) and then tell odd numbered people go there and even go the other side.
Kill adds, get ammo, shoot down the bubble.
Have gaze grabber get it, go in the water, shoot Golgoroth.
At around six or so seconds tell the second person to exit and have them run to the place across the way.
Have number two get gaze.
Once Golgoroth moves the remaining people get into position.
From there have everyone get gaze in the order assigned (3, 4, 5, 6).
The last person can pretty much do whatever as long as they don't die
Kill adds in the middle while you wait for it to end.
Repeat.

If you can do more than 50% in a go, then you don't need to repeat. Simply burn him and avoid the challenge altogether, but it is safer to just repeat the process.

Please note, the chest and rewards spawn a little after he dies, so don't fret if you don't instantly get it. Rewards are what he drops, plus an artifact and fragment. People who do hard also get an emblem.
