1:50 - I never knew about the Trident before I could look it up on the internet. It's a unique weapon not found anywhere else and it really nerfs the difficulty during this part of the game. It turns out there's going to be many more hidden weapons coming up.

16:00 - Yan Liang and Wen Hun are this region's Zhang Xun and Ji Ling. Powerful units with lots of HP. It won't be long before you get more Tigers though, which really doesn't leave much room for other characters.

20:38 - Zhao Yun is definitely on the shortlist for best character in the game. His HP is on the lower end now but it'll be the second highest of the playable characters by the end. Also, this is the point where I like to put off the rest of the Yuan Shao campaign and switch over to the Jing Zhou campaign which has much greater rewards.

32:30 - The first Bow you can acquire can be found here, and it's a game changing weapon. Once you can buy these you reach the point of the game where random battles against generic soldiers end in seconds.

33:44 - Very difficult indeed. It's one of the most notable battles in the game since you have to fight Huang Zhong and Wei Yan. Having both a Trident and Bow along with a supply of Power Pills make even this is pretty straight-forward affair.

36:38 - Two notable things here - I learned Yin Xian at level 16, the first healing tactic that targets the whole party. It has a high cost at 10 TP, but healing the whole team for 1,000 is incredibly useful. The other interesting thing is that there's a comma after Xu Zhe's name here, meaning I ran into a bug that could cause treasure chests to disappear (which can even softlock the game). Should this become an issue I'll try using a Game Genie code to fix the bug.

37:38 - The first of many Swords you'll find. It's the next level of weapon after the Bow, the latter of which can be purchased here. After Chang Sha things are never the same and your offensive capabilities overwhelm your foes for a bit.

40:59 - Four seconds after pressing "All-Out", the enemies are defeated.

42:02 - I like how the text sprawl for each NPC is so long that they reward you checking with the last one by revealing the true nature of the place.

44:23 - Another Sword in front of a well.
