Destiny THE DARK BELOW MATERIALS ALL NEW MATERIALS EXPLAINED to UPGRADE Crux of Crota Embalming Orb Runed Core


Let’s review some of the new materials are coming with The Dark Below DLC
Crux of Crota (used to upgrade Eidolon Ally to Necrochasm)
Embalming Orb (used to upgrade Husk of the Pit to Eidolon Ally)
Runed Core (used to upgrade Murmur to Murmur)
Radiant Energy
Radiant Shard

As you can see, Radiant Energy & Radiant Shard look extremely similar to the updated icons for Ascendant Energy & Ascendant Shards. These new Radiant materials will be used for upgrading your gear, and possibly upgrading gear from Rare to Legendary.
This would cause rare items to still be relevant once you’re level 20, which I’m sure many people would enjoy.

Remember when we revealed the new weapons that will be earned in the Crucible? There used to be dozens of Legendary weapons, and now they’re all Rare. Perhaps we’ll be able to upgrade these Crucible-earned weapons to a better quality, or at least “Reforge” them like we can do with the IB weapons?
