Developer Dates - Orbx and the Launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator!
30In the first episode of Developer Dates, Novawing24 is joined by Ellise Christopher from Orbx to showcase some of their new sceneries in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator.
We discuss the challenges of making scenery and the process behind it while reminiscing about adventure real and virtual in Orcas Island and Innsbruck. We also go in depth about the London City Pack, the challenges of it, how the issues arose at launch, and the steps that Orbx are taking to fix it. We round out with a discussion about the price of addons, and the direction being looked at by Orbx for the new sim and others moving forward.
At the time of going to air the fix was not yet available, but as this recap goes live the fix has already been released for users who purchased via Orbx Direct, with the Microsoft Store version with Microsoft for verification before release.
