DEVLOG: Creating a UE5 Racing Game with 3 level iterations!
11This was for an assignment at University titled "Personal Portfolio". The requirements of the assignment involved creating a piece of work that enhances our portfolio, and helps us specialise in a chosen field, in my case, level design and game design.
All of the blueprints, research and more were self-taught, and this was created on my own using Unreal Engine 5.3.2, the vehicle template as a base, and various Adobe software including Photoshop and Audition. This as created over 4 months, and over 120 hours of work. Initially, the project was just meant to be one snow level with games industry veterans providing feedback and 3 iterations of the level, but it quickly evolved into a full game! This is an edited down HUGE devlog on the creation of the game, with some gameplay at the end of the video, I hope you enjoy!
