Answering 1.5.0 Beta Questions w/ DEVS - https://youtu.be/CEOJfWrKcho
SCRIPT:
Forum Link - https://bit.ly/2YQdTXh

- First we have a player making a thread about a war and peace problem
where khuzaits get ganged up by all the other kingdoms and get wiped out
early on. Another player then replied and stated that the devs are working
on war and peace algorithms.

The devs then quoted the reply and state that they have been looking into the war and peace codes for the past couple of days and will make a detailed explanation.

Devs then state that they plan to fix, but state that they do not guarantee
everything will be perfect after the changes, but they will be better.

First they plan to fix kingdoms decisions when it comes to making necessary peace when kingdoms are facing 3+ strong enemies.

Second the peace problem where the whole world would be at peace and no wars would be started at all.

Third the problem where smaller kingdoms stop forming armies, therefore they do not fight back and lose all their fiefs.

Devs state all these are very important for them to fix.

All these fixes sound great to me and would make the gameplay overall better, cant wait for the detailed explanation.

- Second we have a player asking if the devs can provide a list of
all the perks that work, this is following the new 1.5.0 beta where the
devs listed over 20 perks were added to various skills, but did not state
which exact perks.

The devs first clarified that when they stated the perk changes, they said
some were campaign perks and others combat. Campaign perks refer to anything that happens outside of combat missions or battles. Combat perks refer to combat missions and battles.

Now in terms of athletic perks, only ones added were combat perks and all
athletic perks should work now with this change.

In terms of archery and crossbow perks, this is what the devs had to stay:

For archery the following campaign perks should be working:
merrymen, trainer, bullseye: primary + secondary effects.
mountedarchery, discipline, hunterclan , eagle eye, renowned archer,
quickdraw , salvo : secondary effect

For crossbow the following campaign perks should be working:
Peasant Leader , RenownMarksmen :primary &secondary effects
Piercer, Mounted Crossbowmen, steady, sniper, pavise: secondary effect
Terror picked shots : primary effect

Devs also state if any of these do not work, to please let them know.

Also the devs state that they do add some empty perks with the properly
implemented ones because there are different dev teams working on perks, so this makes things easier code wise.

Personally i understand and dont understand the obsession with perks. Perks in general give a very minor boost to whatever aspect of the game they benefit and i understand that people want specific builds, but you can play the game without them as well. I dont know, the devs have stated they are fixing perks overtime to see the effects the changes bring and then bring more changes if everything is good. I am okay with this approach but i can see why some players are frustrated.

- Third we have a player stating that the community managers were not
doing enough in terms of speaking to the community, which as the player
stated is the community managers job.

The community manager responds and states that he responds when he feels there is valuable info that can be shared and also that he has to be
careful since everything he says is misquoted and misrepresented all over
the forums and other social media.

Also that all the hot topics are always being discussed internally and on
the forums.

Lastly the community manager states that he does get busy since he runs the forums, steam community hub, official subreddit, discord, twitter and other social media as well. Also that the community managers team is being expanded and new people have been hired.

Personally from what i have seen, the community manager does a great job and communicates very frequently. Also i have seen all the bs that has happened due to people misquoting the devs and the community managers. Lastly its great to hear that more community managers have been hired.

Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying
active and bringing good changes.

Also I have a video on how revert your game to any other patch released, so
if you are having problems on the current patch, check out the video below
