RANT TIME LOL

At the risk of looking like a hypocrite, I'll just say this:
"We should stop expecting anything else from Alexlexus."

Alex has been in this gig for a long time by now (8 years so far, I've been told). During this time, has he improved at all? ....well actually, yea he has. Has he improved enough to warrant having a look at his work? Unfortunately no. Let's take his most infamous character Gouken. Compare Gouken to 2 years ago to Gouken now. Are there any differences? There are a few. Is the character still sub-par after 2 years? Unfortunately yes, when it comes to the actual quality of the character Gouken has not improved at all. What's more unfortunate is that the bugs and problems Gouken has now are the exact same one he had in previous versions that span multiple years by now.

Now that we've established the problems Gouken has, let's focus on the WHY this is important. Alex has been using a "template" of Gouken to base on for his other characters, his Ryu, Ken, "Dante" and even this Asura use the same base.. Now, considering how glitchy and buggy Gouken is and the fact that he's using it as a template for other characters then it's easy to figure out how this becomes a big problem. It cannot be said that he hasn't received feedback, cause he has received plenty of it (Most notably, a nice long list of feedback Cyanide gave Alex, which included a lot of Critical feedback that Alex should give priority to first), so it's a matter of him reading it carefully and fixing it. Although, he claims that he's reading and fixing it accordingly, his updates don't show this fact.

At any rate, he has been told multiple times to thrash his template and start anew, but he has stuck with it despite warnings. Alex has been working on characters long enough and I believe it's time to ignore him and let him figure everything out on his own. He's already received plenty of help that he's chosen to ignore, so I think it's time we ignore him ourselves.

Of course, knowing myself, something is bound to happen that will make me disregard my own words....
