The very first Shinryu is here!
Without an FR weapon the turns are extremely tight here.
Only 55 turns and 60 Mil HP each, the same as DE:T9!
The enemy force gauge has a HP sap that triggers once it passes 40% and gets more potent up to 100%.
Once it hits 100%, the enemy will enter their force time. If during their force time, on their turn they hit one of your party members under 40% hp the Will instantly get KO’d.

I brought a team of Emperor with his Base BT, Freya, and Galuf, all with 5/5 UW, and Galuf and Freya both Blued.

Even with 3 5/5 UW and a burst phase I barely squeezed through the turn count.
I’d recommend either having a Selphie for the extra launch damage, or bringing a friend Selphie to help with the extra damage, if you are not planning to pick up any of the first 3 FRs.

Another thing to keep in mind is that all three of the Kain cycle fights are permanent content, so don’t feel forced to clear them right away. You’ll be able to go back and clear them in the future.
