23I think I have exploited most things about Sherlotta's damage by reaching max dmg lol. All of this being possible with a mere normal HA investment and a little bit of Ifrit encouragement. All that remains is probably about her without BT units or synergy with consecutive turns + someone like Steiner to consistently battery, going the more moderate way of using her instead of the full nuking way.
I don't know what the devs have against Selphie, but she missed the chance of her Wall having the 100% debuff evasion improvement again. That said, the most major thing about her now is that her LD debuff duration no longer falls off due to launch and damage. That means ....
Unlimited power! Launch every time you touch the enemy without the need of refreshing the debuff. So unless the enemy takes a turn, Selphie can literally use her LD once, get subbed out by a BT unit freely without any penalty of using her launches, outside of maybe not enjoying her 20%+10% (C88) BRV gain up while taking the launch BRV refund from her debuff. If you are subbing out for someone with even stronger BRV gain up, such as Y'shtola or Firion, you are in for a treat. It is actually quite stupid how abusable this is, especially when you have cap increasers like Ramza and Y'shtola with her armor.
With this in mind, you can consistently launch BRV refund to Sherlotta with Selphie's debuff, serving as an alternative to having someone like Steiner.
I was afraid that spending all of Sherlotta's BRV in a launch may ruin the big moment during Ifrit. I am very pleased that the max dmg has been reached at around 05:18.
While Selphie's upgrade may be small, she is much easier to use and deal much more dmg now. Unless the boss demands it, she no longer need to be juggling very busily between using her skills, aura and LD. So I used to like using her alot before and I definitely would like to use her even more. Very solid launcher, BRV gain helper with a lot more other utilities.
Sorry I have been using Ramza alot, but it has been so much fun using him to super buff other units to another plane of existence XD. Also the fact that I like him so much does not help.
There was a run with friend Kefka BT+ that could go down to sub 5 mins, but Sherlotta has a harder time to go beyond the cap, so I went with this one instead.
