0I keep moving along with the early part of the game - acquiring new planets and getting 'basic' research done. At this point I begin to modify my strategy of play specifically to the Rotharian Star Network and how they play their game.
This means after getting the research I have done in the order I usual do for 'any' faction, I begin to adjust the research specifically to go after specific technologies for the Rotharians - that being to get access to their Destroyer as well as a very powerful food support structure they can build.
In regards to planets I begin to show off how the System Manager works a bit - so that I can avoid having to min-max things that the AI can do well enough for me.
Also, the Osseti decide to offer Membership and through them I get to show off what happens when obtaining a starving Minor.
