DFuxa Showcases - Olea's Descent
There is no doubt that this is a tried and true rogue-like, but I really have to wonder if there is much to present here.
On the surface the game has great aesthetics but in the gameplay leaves something to be desired. It is rather hard to distinguish what you are seeing in the graphics - is there and item or enemy on the screen? There are traps which you run on and get injured by - I realize that there are rogue-likes with traps but there should be some aim to make them 'interesting'. The game seems to be way to luck-based and not a whole lot of information is given to really explain how to play. This game is a pass for me.
I'll note that in play after this video, I did find out that you can disable traps by clicking on them. I also saw a NPC character too. There might be more to this game but it could definitely use some work.
