Instead of a Diablo 4 announcement fans received a cheap chinese mobile game in the form of Diablo Immortal and ever since then it has been nothing but scandal after scandal when it comes to Diablo Immortal. When the game finally released it was revealed that the game in true chinese mobile game fashion would require $500k to max out a character using the in game Gacha system to acquire gems. Basically the entire internet has been collectively roasting Diablo Immortal and Blizzard but despite this fact Diablo Immortal has emerged as a major financial success for Activision Blizzard earning them $50 Million in the first month with over 10 Million unique users. Just goes to show you that despite what the popular opinion is on YouTube, Reddit or Twitter, the casual gaming audience is just not interested in anything we have to say or in gaming controversies in general.
