We check out the full 1.0 release of Dicey Dungeons gameplay, the latest game by Terry Cavanagh who created classic indie games VVVVVV and Super Hexagon, along with numerous winning game jam games.

Dicey Dungeons gameplay sees you fighting through several floors of dungeons on FTL-style maps, where you encounter enemies which you fight in turn-based battles. The more you win, the more skills you can play in a battle, and the more dice you earn to exploit those skills.

The skill cards you earn act as a deckbuilding mechanism, with a backpack full of equipment - but you can only choose a limited selection of equipment for each battle, meaning the more you play, you more you learn about your enemies and yuu'll be able to plan what works best against them.

In this let's play Dicey Dungeons gameplay video we do a playthrough of the starting Warrior class dice, whose innate skills include the ability to reroll dice each turn. We also fight one of the randomly allocated bosses to see if we are worthy of completing the run.
