Did Dinosaurs Have Belly Buttons? New Fossil Suggests So!
We all have belly buttons, right? Unless you got yours removed or you’re some future womb-less biped, you have one. Where do they come from? The umbilical cord of course. Is this just a human thing? A mammal thing? I don’t really see one on my dog. Are they present in reptiles? They are born from eggs! It’s so weird to think about and the situation just got weirder. One of the best non-avian non-theropod dinosaur fossil ever has just revealed another secret upon the mountain of secrets it has already revealed – that at least some dinosaurs had a belly button.
