As much as I hate to admit it, specific dinosaur species or genera are not immune to popularity contests. I don’t even think I need to bring up examples, but clearly some dinosaur archetypes are held up as the main ones over the thousands of known species and millions of unknown species. Though the double-sailed neck of Amargasaurus is uniquely bizarre, the surprising bulk and kinky jaw of Utahraptor is intimidating, or the single claw and giant nocturnal eyes of Shuvuuia are oddly familiar, the true cream of the dino crop is the Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Raptor, Parasaurolophus, and of course, the Tyrannosaurus. Oh wait, cannot ever forget the rex.
