Intrepid Studios launched the Open Beta of Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse last week. Now the question is did is Did Intrepid deliver with the Open Beta? Sadly, the answer isn’t as positive we might have hoped. In fact, the bad news is that on December 26, 2018 at noon PST the current Beta is being taken down and sent back to production.

While people may not be happy about this decision, the truth is this is probably the best decision that could have been made. Instead of spending the next 2-3 weeks limping along from broken patch to broken patch, they are going to stop, do a full dig in to the problems, and then put back something more worthy of the players on 11 January 2019.

I expect this one to get spicy, but let’s try to keep the personal attacks to zero in the comments. State your position, try to use citations, but only attack arguments, not people.
