Did you know this about Mission Impossible? The director who directed the most episodes from the Mission Impossible TV show in the 60s, Reza Badiyi, was invited to collaborate with director Brian De Palma on the 1996 movie, but never returned after the first day of shooting. Why? On day 1, Brian De Palma approached Reza and told him how much he had enjoyed the original series, but went on to tell him that the movie would be nothing like the television show, and that his presence on the set would only result in making both of them uncomfortable. Reza thanked him for his honesty and left the set, never to return.
