DIG IN: AN EXCAVATOR GAME (GAMEPLAY ONLY)
Papa Panda Review:
Dig In was made by the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66 and Simcoach Games to help people learn about careers in heavy equipment operation and connect players to real-life apprenticeships.
As a heavy equipment operator, you are an important part of the construction site. You dig trenches, move dirt, break up concrete, fill holes, and do a lot more. It's your job to finish big jobs with skill and care. As you start training and move up to jobs that are more difficult, everyone is watching you.
Think you know how to move around and dig? Well, let's see how you do at night in a busy city where cars, dozers, and other machines are moving quickly by you. Not only do you want to get the job done right and on time, but you also don't want to hit any utilities or other cars. Will you give up when things get hard, or will you dig in and get the job done?
Not everything is work. As you build your reputation and become known as a skilled operator, special bonus challenges will be sent your way. Stop all the boulders coming downhill from getting past you. Play a game of excavator basketball and see how quickly you can score some goals. How about some mini-golf that's bigger than life?
In this game, you'll have to use the same hand-eye coordination and sense of space that real heavy equipment operators use on the job site. If you do well enough, you might be told about real-life operator jobs in your area.
Dig In: An Excavator Game has the following features: -You can choose between simple controls or realistic controls that are more difficult.
-4 different construction environments.
-13 levels with tasks that get harder as you go up.
-3 bonus levels that are fun and hard.
-Use a hoe ram to break up concrete and break up trenches, move dirt, fill holes with gravel, and dig holes.
-The 3D graphics and sound design are very well done.
-Links to real-world opportunities with heavy machinery.
-Getting badges in the Skill Arcade.
Dig In is a fun game about an excavator. But once you get frustrated, this game can be really annoying, and the pretty graphics can't save it.
This one is for adults to play, but small children can look at it every once in a while.
