Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory (Hard) [PC] chapter 4 - part 5
The end of chapter 4
My thoughts on this part:
I remember that we used to play the keyword minigame here on first game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyFM9Mg36tg, it seems they removed it.
Eater is quite easy (at least for me, I have clear the hard challenge in the old game anyway) but for newcomer, perhaps this battle will be a difficult one:
+ For attacker: you may want one with penetrating skill or fixed damage skill. I don't remember whether poison had any effect on this eater. If i recall correctly, one of the eater in first game (around chapter 6) is weak against poison but in a later chapter, they are immune to it.
+ For defender: you may want to have PlatinumSukamon. Eater always uses the following combo: "Data is converging!" (its ATK increases while its INT decreases) then using Erode Terminal (This one absorb damage deal to the target and recover owner's HP. It's also a physical-based attack, make sense with the buff) next turn. With PlatinumSukamon's def is 999, this Eater's attack only heals 1 or 2 HP at most, unless it attacks the digimon of ... our guest character. So all you need to do is swap all the digimon in and just leave PlatinumSukamon alone in the battlefield to take the attack. Next turn, put other digimon into the battlefield to attack ... and then just repeat. PlatinumSukamon is also important in gaining experience at this stage, so try to have one.
Having 1 of 2 options above will make the battle easier. If you have neither, then congratulations, this is a fair and square battle. In such a case, just guarding before Eater uses the Erode Terminal (he only have one pattern after all), the best attack here is INT-based attack because Eater will lower its INT. Our guest character will sometimes reduce the Eater's def, but don't expect too much on him.
