During late December 2021, I started my very first playthrough (livestreamed on Twitch) of Capcom's PS1 game Dino Crisis 2! I had just recently finished my first play of Dino Crisis 1, which was super fun! DC2 definitely puts a different twist on the DC1 formula, with intense combat and lots of risk vs reward situations. (The game has a very similar "merchant" mechanic to Resident Evil 4, in which you get rewarded "points" for defeating enemies that you can use as a currency to refill your ammo, and buy new weapons, weapon upgrades, and health items).
I spent most of the first part of the game wandering around aimlessly, getting lost, but also getting points to keep my health item stock up and eventually advance the plot!
Technical Reference: I captured the game using the RetroTink 5X-Pro (available at the below link) coupled with an ElGato HD60S+ capture card with RGB output from a Playstation 2 slim (running the original Dino Crisis 2 game disc). https://www.retrotink.com
